Artist Feature: Aaron Nagel
Gloves, arrows, and leather.
Aaron Nagel is a figurative oil painter who has no formal training, which is quite surprising as you not only take notice of his extraordinary talent but his classical approach at surrealism. Nagel’s paintings warrant investigation as his approach explores a new sort of iconography, exploring themes associated with his views on the uncertainty of organized religion alongside the female nude, a perpetual subject matter in his work.
His Solo Exhibition comes to the Lyons Wier Gallery, New York, NY, on May 9th, 2014.
