Artist Feature: Monika Horčicová
Skeletal structures from printed bones...
Sculptor Monika Horčicová is one of Czech Republics hottest emerging artists. With the use of 3D printing technology she designs skeletal structures from printed bones. Rather than her sculptures invoking morbidity with their macabre nature, Horčicová successfully exhibits the fragility and beauty of them. Exploring themes of infinity in many of her pieces, she intricately assembles, hip by hip, leg by leg, originating wheel-like and other skeletal structures, symbolizing both life and death.
